🏡 Tangletown Historic Homes Plaque Recognition

Celebrate a special neighborhood—and the home that makes it unique.
The Rocky River Historical Society proudly recognizes original historic homes in Tangletown, one of Rocky River’s most distinctive neighborhoods.

📜 A Brief History of Tangletown

From 1913 to 1916, the nine-hole Kestwick Golf Course operated on the grounds of the former Eels Estate. After the course closed, the area was developed between 1917 and 1940 into the Tangletown neighborhood.

Tangletown is bounded by Lake Erie to the north, the Rocky River cliff to the east, Lake Road to the south, and Falmouth Road to the west—home to many stately and architecturally significant residences.
