America 250 Essay and Art Contest

.The Rocky River Historical Society is proud to be spearheading America 250: A Rocky River Celebration, culminating in a community-wide picnic and patriotic celebration on September 13, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 PM.

As we prepare to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday, we are inviting citizens, businesses, schools, and community organizations to become part of this historic milestone. One of the many ways to participate is through our Essay and Art Contest: "Why I Love Rocky River. What Does Rocky River Mean to Me?"

This contest encourages participants of all ages to reflect on what makes Rocky River special and to share their perspectives through writing or art. Winning entries may be displayed as part of our America 250 celebration.
